This past week, the beautiful Browns store in Mayfair welcomed the exclusive Fall 2011 collection from Vera Wang. Straight from the states the high fashion gowns featured some stunning bridal couture that have yet to go mainstream. We had the amazing opportunity to see the top dresses, we learned of the new trends and got the chance to view the new exclusives designs straight from the catwalk.
The Trunk collection is a way of getting to view the latest and most exclusive designs straight off the runway, these pieces have been highly sort after as most are not in full production yet. The particular pieces that really stood out for us were the two celebrity inspired dresses for Hiliary Duff and Khloe Kardashian, both dresses are in high demand for their beautiful mermaid design.
After speaking with the Vera Wang New York representative she gave us some key exclusives on what to expect in upcoming months and predictions for the bridal couture collection. There appears to be a continuing trend for the beautifully fitting mermaid style gowns whilst colours that will continue to be on the catwalk include the classic ivory, champagne and blush. The main material that seem to continue to resurface is the stretch Mikado, found in many dresses by Vera and in particularly the popular Khloe Kardashian “Ethel” dress, due to its form fitting, figure hugging elegant texture that amazingly flattens the body. Trends for next year also shows more organic looking pieces and the return to the two-piece bodice and skirt.
The trunk show was an amazing sucess and we witness the full effect of Vera Wang on a beautfiul bride that tried and loved the Hilary Duff dress which in true Wang form was the perfect dress.
Brown’s in Mayfair is the first independent supplier of Vera Wang couture and is a beautiful boutique to try on some stunning vera Wang designs.
