Porchester Hall Wedding
This week we had the pleasure of decorating Porchester Hall again.
This was a wedding of ivory and gold hints of decor.
It has been a while since we have been to this venue but going back in reminded us of how this particular space can be decorated to something pretty.
With large chandeliers and dark panelling it has a romantic atmosphere. Because of the light colour floor, we easily can decorate any kind of event at this venue.
So After meeting the couple – they wanted the ever popular ivory and blush pink featured throughout their decor alongside elements of gold.
The Decor
The colour scheme was pink, ivory and gold. We used three different centrepieces on 35 tables surrounded by gold chiavari chairs with ivory seat pads.
Gold candelabras with glass cups and real candles were the medium sized pieces. To add some florals to this centrepiece we decided to add gold mini hurricane vases by the candelabras with silk ivory hydrangeas. The Perfect combo!
We further mixed this we floral arrangements on booster boxes to make them even grander. They are the simplest yet very useful items in our stock collection,
They are a perfect fit for Bell vases or urns, and they looked amazing!
The tallest items the couple requested from us were the Karen Tran stands in gold. Our lovely florist team created extra-large silk arrangements for the real statement floral structure.
On the table in front of the guests were those pretty glass gold rimmed charger plates.
For the extra lighting by the stage they had our 5-foot-tall L.O.V.E. letters,
These were a great way to cover the front of the stage a place for lovely photographs and they make such a difference in the décor!
The Head Table
Oh, the top table! Behind Fiona and Ernest we built our chandelier backdrop.
This consists of our white drapery, chandeliers, flowers and uplights to create this showstopper beautiful backdrop. We used lots of lighting to create the perfect atmosphere wth a little help from VNVLIVE.
One of the great things about the venue is that they allowed us to use real candles which we love as the ambience is so much different with real tea lights lights. On the table we used stemmed tea light holders with floating candles, gold hurricane vases, matching with the ones on the guest tables. We also added a low floral runner.
At the front of the head table we placed different sized cylinder vases with floating candles.
Everybody had such a great party with all the dancing, food and music!
We wish all the best for Fiona and Ernest, thank you for choosing us to be part of your big day!
